Bath 5k Map is a collection of circular 5k walks in and around Bath. Discover wonderful new things in the countryside from wild swimming spots and woodland to pubs and cafes for refreshments along the way.

Engaging with the Bath 5k Map supports our communities to more regularly engage in regular walking, either alone or with others, enhancing their health and well-being.

This weekend a friend and I tried walk 15 Friary Wood to Iford. We have lived in Bath collectively for 29 years and neither of us has ever been here! We’d both often wondered what might lie behind the A36 lay-by in which cars were often parked. Well now we know! What a wonderful discovery with a joyful stop at the Iford Manor cafe too.

My swim and 5 walk from Bath 5k Map was a lovely surprise to myself I’d forgotten about. Knowing the story and care Annie had put in creating the map, with Ellie Shipman’s creative help, and the two mental health charities it supports in honour of her nephew’s life, made it extra special. I

We are keen walkers and have lived in Bath for over 30 years. This map has shown us walks and areas of Bath and the surrounding countryside that we’ve not discovered before and we’re looking forward to trying these routes new to us.

I really liked the story behind the map and also the 5k length of walks across the Bath area. I'm really enjoying working through them with my dog, Shadow! They're nice walks and I like marking them off with the stickers. I'm discovering new areas

A lot of effort has been made to map out these walks. Having completed two walks so far l am very much looking forward to the others. Having circular walks is great. Thank you for your hard work.

Easy transaction. Map good value and arrived when expected. Gave it as a Christmas present and it was well received. It’s good that most of the walks are accessible by public transport.
The Big BaNES 100k - Do it your way!
Get involved with a new 100k charity challenge for youth mental health. The Big BaNES 100k launches on Friday 17 May 2024 and we are encouraging local residents to combine any number of activities to reach a 100k milestone.
Walk, run, cycle, swim, skate, kayak or do it your way!
The challenge will run until Friday 27 September, and organisers are encouraging fundraisers to get out into the beautiful BaNES countryside and bring friends, family, colleagues and community groups with them.
